A Guarded Heart

Brad Gaillard

This week, we shift from understanding the condition of our hearts to learning how to protect what God is restoring. A guarded heart isn’t closed off—it’s intentional. It recognizes that what we allow in will eventually shape what comes out.

We’ll talk about the importance of setting boundaries, being aware of influences, and developing spiritual discipline in a world that constantly pulls at our attention and affections. Guarding your heart means choosing truth over lies, wisdom over impulse, and purpose over distraction.

When your heart is guarded, it becomes a place where God’s voice is clear, His truth is rooted, and His direction is followed. This isn’t about fear—it’s about focus. It’s about living with awareness and protecting the work God is doing inside you so it can grow and overflow into every part of your life.
