How should a nation measure its success?

In Amos 5, God confronts a nation that appeared prosperous on the outside but had drifted far from Him. Israel measured itself by wealth, power, and religious activity, but God measured them by their pursuit of justice, righteousness, and faithful obedience.

As we continue our Minor Prophets, Major Truths series, we'll explore what Amos 5 teaches about God's standard for a people and why true spiritual health is never determined by prosperity or appearances, but by hearts that seek the Lord and lives that reflect His righteousness.

"But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream." — Amos 5:24
