Where Two or Three are Gathered

Mar 9, 2026    Brad Gaillard

This week on BTW: Beneath the Word, we take a deeper look at Matthew 18, a chapter where Jesus teaches about life within the community of believers. Our main focus will be the often-quoted phrase, “where two or three are gathered in my name,” exploring the context and what Jesus truly meant by those words.

Along the way, we’ll also walk through other key themes in the chapter, including humility, dealing with conflict among believers, and the call to radical forgiveness. Rather than treating these ideas as isolated teachings, we’ll see how they all fit together in Jesus’ vision for how His followers should live and relate to one another.

Join us as we dig beneath the surface of Matthew 18 and discover the depth and wisdom found in Jesus’ words.
