The Triumphal Entry
Mar 8, 2026 • Brad Gaillard
In week two of our Prelude series, we look at one of the most overlooked characters in the Easter story—the donkey. As Jesus enters Jerusalem during the triumphal entry, He doesn’t arrive on a war horse like a conquering king. Instead, He rides in on a humble donkey, fulfilling prophecy and revealing the kind of King He truly is.
This moment reminds us that God often uses the ordinary to accomplish the extraordinary. Through the humility of Jesus and the obedience of those involved, we see a powerful picture of God’s kingdom—one marked not by pride or power, but by peace, purpose, and surrender.
Join us as we explore what the triumphal entry teaches us about who Jesus is and what it means to prepare our hearts for Easter.
